My Wedding

Photography Style...

Visually, my documentary wedding photos are often described as emotive, true to life, authentic, romanic, and luxe.

I edit all galleries in my signature With Love Rose style - you'll notice all wedding photographers use different colours & tones in their editing. I like to keep colours true to life, but just add a little WLR, flare. I also love to use grain, haze, motion blur, shutter drag, direct flash, and other techniques in my work.

It's important to note that not all wedding galleries will look exactly the same, as no two weddings are the same, and personally I love that each day is unique. I use the same shooting & editing techniques for each of my weddings, yet there are multiple factors that will effect the outcome of your gallery. For example, a Cheshire barn wedding will look different to a marquee garden wedding. Factors such as available light, artificial light, the weather, the time of year will all contribute to the outcome. I use this to my advantage in order to provide you real, true to life, storytelling wedding photos.

Black & white photographs have my heart. I pride myself on my black and white edits - they evoke feelings of nostalgia, are classically romantic, and also add an editorial vibe. Expect to see plenty of beautiful B&W edits those in your final gallery (although don't worry, the majority of said gallery will be edited in colour).

A big one now...

I refuse to use any face/body altering, airbrushing apps. There are photographers out there that will do this, but I unashamedly will not comply with such requests.

Similarly, I will not photoshop blue skies into your wedding photos if it was a rainy day -  we keep everything real over in this corner of the wedding world.

My WEDDING
DAY approach.

I prefer to take a fly-on-the-wall approach to weddings, yet intervene when wanted or needed. I adore photographing real, heartfelt moments, so the majority of my work is made up of candid shots. I don't work towards a shot list, but you can be confident in that I aim to document the day as it unfolds, whilst snapping photos of key moments eg, first kiss, speeches, cake cut, and first dance. It goes without saying that I will also take a number of family portraits & group shots, if you want them that is. I stick to 8-10 groups per wedding (choose your ride or dies!) in order to be as efficient as possible.

My style of wedding photography requires my couples to be authentically and unapologetically themselves, so relax, have fun, and live in the moment. I don’t believe in orchestrating awkward poses, or giving strict, cheesy direction - so instead I will offer gentle prompts & ideas for beautiful shots during your portraits.

I'm an observer at heart, yet that doesn't mean I'm completely introverted. I'm not afraid to get involved in the wedding day, whilst remaining respectful of the people involved and the natural flow of the day. I'll make friends with your wedding party, natter away to your grandparents, and get on the dance floor after the first dance - pass me the bubbly!

WOW, WOW, WOW... We are blown away!

We cannot thank you enough, the photos mean the world. You absolutely made us feel at ease, you smashed the whole day and got the job done. The photos are incredible. THANK YOU
